St. Stephen the First Martyr Parish, Sacramento, CA- Organist Position Available St. Stephen the First Martyr Church, an EF/Classical Rite parish in the diocese of Sacramento is looking to fill the principle organ position at the parish. The job would include the Sunday High Mass, and a Low Mass (Organ Mass) and Vespers and and one High Mass (evening) on First Class Feasts/Solemnities and some Second Class/Feasts through the year. The most qualified candidate would be one with strong skills in improvisation, hymn playing and repertoire as well as occasional accompaniment of anthems/motets. The organ is a 2008 Allan, 3 manuals, 88 stops and the choir is comprised of 40 members, choir(altos, tenors, basses) and child choristers (sopranos). Presence at the weekly choir rehearsal would only be at an "at need" basis. Salary range $1400-$1900 a month.
